HOME. The warmth of your favorite blanket on a cold winter night. The smell of fresh-baked bread coming out of the oven. The trinkets from many travels that take you back to each moment of adventure.
HOME. The memories that will last a lifetime. The place where your child took their first steps. Your special hiding place when the world has taken a toll on you. Home is the one place where you control the atmosphere.

I have spent most of my adult life seeking and attempting to create all the glories of home for my family. Like most families in this day and time, we no longer live in one place our entire lives. New opportunities, family needs, or simply wanting a new house sends the average American into “pack and move” status every three to seven years. As a licensed REALTOR I have assisted many families in the acquisition and sale of their “home”. Though I have bought and sold houses of my own I can honestly say that the real energy that affects our love for the place we call home is not found in owning a house. Nor is it found in the decor, neighborhood, the square footage, or in the number of bedrooms we may have. These describe the attributes of a house, and can enhance the experience of a home. In my many years of searching for a place that I could call home, I have learned that home is developed through the deep relationships of the people you love and live with. Understanding your loved ones, their past, their fears, and their ambitions leads to the right color, the perfect reading chair, or the man cave that will nurture the memories of the essence of home for years to come.
