Meet J. Nicole, Queen of All Things Home

J. Nicole is an entrepreneur, author, and public speaker. Her mission is simple: Empower people to achieve their goals, so they can thrive in their daily lives.

J. Nicole relates to people through her own experiences. She grew up in a disadvantaged area of Houston, Texas, where she saw people who had so much potential struggle to get by. She was raised by a single dad, who encouraged independence and perseverance. Serving in the U.S. Army helped instill discipline and the importance of having a strong team. From there, J. Nicole has built successful businesses, published a book, served as Mayor of Rice, Texas, and encourages her own daughters to become strong individuals with promising futures.

Creating spaces that people LOVE living in is a mission J. Nicole holds close to her heart.

Her Room in a Box a business is inspired by personal experience – one she knows she shares with others.

“I was pregnant, and didn’t have a lot of energy. We had just moved into an apartment – it was furnished, but there was no decor. It just didn’t feel like home, and I found myself wishing I had an easy, yet stylish, solution for decorating our space.”

She moved around a lot while growing up in Houston – she never had a place that felt like “home”. Soon after high school, she joined the U.S. Army as a way to form a stable foundation for her future. After an honorable discharge, she started searching for a way to create that feeling of home. It was then J. Nicole discovered her passion for finding that feeling for everyone.

In 2013 she earned her real estate license, and then immersed herself into learning about the home building industry. She opened her construction company in 2017, and started building homes. This combination allows her to deliver the feeling of home to a wider audience, while being involved in all areas of the process.
