Navarro County Commissioners approved the appointment of new member J. Nicole Jackson, Mayor of Rice, Texas, along with the reappointment of eight active members for the 2023-2024 term.

J. Nicole will use the opportunity to further her knowledge of local historic buildings, share their stories, and gain a better understanding of how to protect and preserve them, so they might be appreciated by residents and visitors to Navarro County for years to come.
The Navarro County Historical Commission strives to protect and preserve the historic resources of Navarro County for the use, education, enjoyment, and economic benefit of present and future generations.
